Charming restaurant with very good modern brasilian cuisine, lovely design & decoration and excellent service level. The space has a somewhat zen feeling, no ambiance music, just elegance. There is no menu but rather two dining options - Festival (R$245pp) or Nao me conta historias (R$185pp). Both are menus selected by the chef based on what is best at the market that day including many organic ingredients.  The chef owns two farms where he gets several of their ingredients. The Festival has 13 courses with a huge variety of dishes and the portions are well sized for the number of courses. The other menu has fewer courses which are all prepared with a high degree of detail and care. After dinner  you can go upstairs for a cocktail in the top lounge, where you have a wonderful view of the Cristo Redentor The staff is wonderful. Extremely attentive and really take their time to explain each dish. There is always someone who speaks English, Spanish or Portuguese. This is a perfect place for a special or romantic dinner. Lasai is well above the standard of most so called good Rio restaurants - reservations are required!
