We provide the following extra services which will make your stay more pleasant and comfortable:

Airport pick up

Rio Bay Housing can arrange a private taxi to pick you up upon your arrival at Rio International Airport and bring you to your apartment. Our multilingual drivers will welcome you with a smile, you avoid the long queues for public taxis or transport, and will have a hassle free arrival. Our driver will be waiting for you in the arrival hall with a personal name board. He will drive you safely to your apartment where our staff member will be waiting with the keys.

Should you wish to use our airport pick up service, please send us your arrival details (airline, city of departure, flight nr, estimated arrival time) in advance. Also transfer back to the airport can be organised - please send us your flight details ahead so we can book this service.

The cost of the airport transfers (car suitable for 1 - 3 persons) is as follows: 

pick up: R$ 100 - return: R$ 65

pick up & return: R$ 150

Should you need a bigger vehicle please enquire for applicable rates with your apartment booking.

Cell Phone Rental

You can rent a mobile phone while staying in Rio. Excellent for keeping in touch with your relatives back at home and with your friends or business contacts in Rio. Incoming calls are free. To make phone calls you need to purchase credit (phone cards), this can be done at any newspaper stand. Local calls are around R$1.40 per minute. Very handy tool to have in Rio.

Maid Service

Rio Bay Housing can provide cleaning and laundry services according to your needs (apart from check-out cleaning & laundry service paid at check-in).

During check-in, you can indicate to our staff your day(s) of preference for having your apartment cleaned, which includes washing dishes, general cleaning, changing bed linen and supplying fresh towels. Apartment cleaning does not include your personal laundry.

This service is charged according to the size of the apartment and the number of persons. Please inquire for applicable rates with your apartment booking.

Portuguese Language Course

Would you like to combine your stay in Rio with a linguistic immersion in the local language? Do you wish to have a better understanding of the local culture and people? Then don't miss the opportunity to take your first communication steps in Portuguese or to improve your language skills.

Your course will be tailor-made according to your needs, available time and number of participants. The content will be adapted to your language level taking into account your priorities concerning communication and your goals. You decide how intensive the course will be, and since your teacher will give the classes directly in your apartment, you won't lose any commuting time. You can also opt to attend group courses at our partner language school.
